Through the cooperation with the Design Post, Koelnmesse expands its location offering with an ideally accessible venue and opens up possibilities for many new formats and crossovers, such as idd cologne, taking place now.

Located in the Deutz-Mülheimer Straße and used by the post office in various functions since 1919, the now protected industrial monument was a hub in international mail traffic in its original function. Following sensitive refurbishment and its resurrection as Design Post, the building today serves as a presentation area for extraordinary furniture and design brands and as an accelerator of creative potential. With an area of 3,500 m² in an urban atmosphere, you can look forward to more than 40 renowned brands from 11 countries, including arco, arper, B-BEDS, Bensen, Brokis, CHAT BOARD, CRÉATION BAUMANN, dieffebi, Echtstahl, Elmo, Expormim, Ferm Living, Framery, Grythyttan, HEY-SIGN, Klöber, Kvadrat, Lodes, MISURA RUGS, pCon, PROSTORIA, QUASAR, rohi, Roolf Living, S+ Systemmöbel, Sahco, Secto Design, String Furniture, SurfBench, Tecta, Thonet, Tom Dixon, Tubes, Vincent Sheppard, Wagner, Wünder, Zeitraum and &Tradition.

Stoff-Pavillon Moeller -
a postwar icon in new splendour

Created in 1952 in the Hahnenstraße by the architect Wilhelm Riphahn, the Stoff-Pavillon Moeller emphasises the functional lightness of postwar architecture in Cologne with its horizontal facade layering and the ground floor with slanted display case windows. In this special atmosphere, the brands Marken COR, Kettnaker, KFF und Möller Design among others, present their inspiring designs for the residential, hospitality and contract business interiors segments.

machwerkhaus köln -
centre for design and urban production

The machwerkhaus köln, a center for design and urban production, complements the creative district of Kalk with a new impetus for sustainable urban development. It is a place where innovation, craftsmanship, and design come together: interdisciplinary, resource-efficient, and future-oriented. Here, new ideas are developed, traditional craftsmanship is continued, and the creative industry is strengthened—with direct links to brick-and-mortar and digital commerce. The machwerkhaus is intended to be a hub for the startup and creative scene, for Cologne's urban society, and for guests from Germany and abroad who are interested in design. Manufacturers, craft businesses, fashion labels, food tech startups, prototype builders, design offices, and many other small and innovative companies will find space for development, production, presentation, and sales here on an area of 20,000 square meters.
