Aluminium exhibition: Design classics in meta
At idd cologne Markanto will show a curated selection of iconic aluminium furniture - from its beginnings in the 1930s to contemporary designs.
Items on display include Marcel Breuer's award-winning Embru lounger (1933), the rare Montecatini Chair by Gio Ponti and the Landi chair by Hans Coray (Vitra). The exhibition is complemented by classics by Eames and Noguchi as well as current designs by Jangir Maddadi, Muller Van Severen, Guilherme Torres and others.
The exhibition invites visitors to discover the aesthetic and technical diversity of aluminium in furniture design - from the beginnings of modernism to contemporary interpretations.
