idd cologne and Design Season Cologne join forces

This year marks the first collaboration between idd cologne and Design Season Cologne, establishing Cologne as the key gathering place for the international interior design scene in autumn 2026. With this new partnership, idd cologne is strengthening its urban focus and connecting the trade fair experience, showrooms and design hotspots across the city.

idd cologne will be held from 27 to 31 October 2026, while Design Season Cologne begins a day earlier, on 26 October 2026. The two formats will remain independent but will tie in with each other with respect to timing and content. Visitors can therefore look forward to a week bursting with interior design, inspiration and networking opportunities – in the trade fair grounds and right in the heart of Cologne.

A key feature of the collaboration is the involvement of selected showrooms and retail partners in Cologne. They will play a role in both formats, providing additional venues where industry professionals, design enthusiasts and consumers can experience a range of exciting offerings.

This approach is expected to forge close links between the trade fair, the retail sector, brands and urban lifestyle – positioning Cologne as an international platform for high-quality interior design.
