Five days, 149 brands and 23 selected venues across the city of Cologne: from 27 to 31 October 2026, the interior design days (idd cologne) showcased exclusive interior design concepts, the latest furniture collections and new design innovations. A varied programme of events complemented the brand presentations and offered numerous opportunities for inspiration, professional exchange and personal encounters. With its second edition, idd cologne built on the success of its debut the previous year and delighted visitors with premium interior design throughout Cologne.

The next edition of idd cologne will take place in 2028. 

“One Week. One City. – Workspace. Contract. Residential.” 

In 2026, idd cologne took place alongside ORGATEC and Design Season Cologne. Together, the three events formed a city-wide interior design week that brought together different sectors of the interior design industry – Workspace, Contract and Residential – offering a diverse range of inspiration and themes and appealing to both trade visitors and members of the public with an interest in design.

With its ‘urban-only’ approach, idd cologne once again brought creativity and premium interior design straight into the city. This year’s key exhibition venues included Design Post Köln, WallStudio Cologne and machwerkhaus köln. Independent showrooms, retail partners and selected creative venues rounded off the programme.

Once again, Design Post Köln was at the heart of the event. In the listed industrial building in Deutz, the focus was not only on exclusive interior design but also on the latest trends in outdoor living. The presentations demonstrated how indoor and outdoor spaces are increasingly merging, opening up new perspectives for holistic living concepts.
